Intrepid does not have any package called dbus-java or something
similar.
In Jaunty there are the packages "dbus-java-bin" and libdbus-java. I
haven't tested them, because I'm not working dbus anymore. But I suppose
they are OK and this issue can be closed, since there is no one going to
backport
Is this still a problem in Intrepid or Jaunty (with dbus-java)?

Seems it was renamed to dbus-java. I asked for a sync and removal of
libdbus-java. However this is out of scope of this bug report.

I don't know why the build fails, but I'm wondering why Ubuntu is still trying
to build the old version 1.12-1 of libdbus-java, but in Debian you can find
version 2.x since the beginning of 2007:

Yes, there is still a problem. In Gutsy there is no package called
"java-gnome". Are there any replacements for it?
Well, I only want to use DBus within Java and I need the package dbus-
java for that. But dbus-java only exists in Debian releases (lenny and
sid). I couldn't find it in any Ubuntu r
