run sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser set it to what you want
as default browser. There may also be a setting in xchat for this.
Thanks for your comments. This does not appear to be a bug report as
such. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would
make more sense to
right. it works that way. WTH doesn't xchat use the standard way like
everyboday else. I guess I have to file a bug upstream...
