It looks like support for this device was added to natty via a staging
driver, see bug #698006. I'm going to mark this one as a duplicate of
that one. The automount problems should be fixed as well, see bug

I have just stumbled on this bug here, could this one here in any way
related to bug#787855 ? Different machine(s) brand but symptoms are
almost the same

I've just tested on Natty, and it works most of the time, which means
that sometimes the SD card is not seen, and sometimes it is. It might be
a hardware problem though...
Another strange thing is that, when it is seen, it is detected but not
automatically mounted. I have to click on it in Nautilu
Just wanted to report that after upgrading from Maverick 10.10 to Natty
11.04 Beta 2 the card reader works out of the box for me on a M301z. The
latest official kernel on 10.10. still did not do the trick.
