I updated the BIOS to version 1.28-1.22 / 2010-09-17 (4 Oct 2010,
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-74277).
The problem persists with the new BIOS.

A Thinkpad X100e fails to wake up after going into suspend to RAM or
suspend to disk mode. The screen stays blank. The machine is not
reachable over the network, either.
I have tried various different kernels, including the latest mainline
kernel from linux-
