I have a possible fix for this bug which I'm busy uploading to my ppa

The fix will be available shortly if everything goes well.

I believe I may have found the cause of this bug, the NoteMenuItem class
appears to be unchanged and is constructed as if it was a status menu
and not an app-indicator menu, this is possibly also the cause of;

so pinning is broken in indicator applet, there's no UI for it in the
indicator and the response to drawing it is to put a separator in...
This is less than ideal, I'll discuss it with ted gould and see what he
thinks about the API necessary for supporting pins properly.

Yes, they were pinned before the upgrade. It is also still possible to
pin notes when running as panel applet.

Just upgraded to 10.10, now my pinned notes are displayed as separator
- lines in the tomboy menu. When I click on one of those separator line,

the note is opened
