Same here. Booted off cd (knot 3), used gparted to shrink windows XP part., created 2 new parts. for ubuntu swap. Installed, updated and rebooted. Now boot hangs at or just after fsck. This is on a Compaq nx7010 (which isn't the most reliable peice of kit anyway). Doesn't seem to make any
