Public bug reported: This has been happenning to me since when I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10.
Each time I open a distant file via sftp with geany, if I perform some modifications on it and save it, it writes a blank file and I lose all my data. This does not happen if I use gedit on the same files... $ apt-cache policy geany geany: Installé : 0.19.1-1 Candidat : 0.19.1-1 Table de version : *** 0.19.1-1 0 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ apt-cache policy gvfs gvfs: Installé : 1.6.4-0ubuntu1 Candidat : 1.6.4-0ubuntu1 Table de version : *** 1.6.4-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Geany writes blank file when saving a file open via sftp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/663151 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
