How did you upgrade your system? Using:
$ update-manager -c -d
?
Or did you used apt-get/aptitutde/synaptic (or some other way)?

I upgraded with
$ update-manager -c -d
I left the computer running the update since my current internet
connection is a bit slow. When I came back, the update-manager was not
running.
I've just reinstalled beta 2 from the live cd since the current status
of my computer was unusable, but as

iso btw). I can't find the /var/log/dist-upgrade/* files, so something
must have gone really wrong during the update.
