This sort of idea needs to be kicked around on the devel mailing list.
In fact, it and a number of related ideas have been, and several have
been implemented since this bug was filed. Since this report is not
well described, I'm going to go ahead and close it now.

I agree that this is a good idea and rides along the lines of Backports,
but it will have to be a different kind of effort. A Ubuntu volatile
repository will require deep involvement of the Ubuntu developers. I'd
love to have a Ubuntu volatile repository too!

you should place such requests though -your idea might get more
attention and have the possibility of being implemented if you would
