There are 2 alternatives what to do:
1. make the evolution appear normal. this can be done by editing
/usr/share/applications/evolution.desktop. Change the "Exec=evolution %U"
line to "Exec=evolution" (my understanding the %U adds the "--express" switch)
and then re-login. Problem with this
This seem to be related to the „--express” option. If you run evolution
from console without that the buttons it the sidebar to switch to
calendar etc are there, but then evolition fails to go to fullscreen
without messing up the.
