oh damned, i didnt get you use FUSA (fast user switching) this is indeed a problem. what did you do to switch your user ? the applet is deliberately patched to only show the logged in user and not offer any switching (because of such bugs) as soon as it detects the ltsp ssh connection from ldm. if

Yes, both users have rights to access audio. As I said, it is only the *first* user that will get sound, regardless of which user that may be. The second user, regardless of which one it is, will not have sound. Checking with gnome-sound-properties, both users are set up to use Alsa for all 4

pulseaudio is not involved in the users setup in the session, its only used as the tunnel endpoint on the client for a virtual alsa device. you shouldnt configure *anything* for pulse on the server. ldm will configure everything you need during login. are both users in the audio group so they can
