oh damned, i didnt get you use FUSA (fast user switching) this is indeed
a problem. what did you do to switch your user ? the applet is
deliberately patched to only show the logged in user and not offer any
switching (because of such bugs) as soon as it detects the ltsp ssh
connection from ldm. if
note that the original bug was for two users being logged in at the same
time while yours is related to user switching, please file a bug against
fast-user-switching-applet and this behavior with ltsp.

Yes, both users have rights to access audio. As I said, it is only the
*first* user that will get sound, regardless of which user that may be.
The second user, regardless of which one it is, will not have sound.
Checking with gnome-sound-properties, both users are set up to use Alsa
for all 4
pulseaudio is not involved in the users setup in the session, its only
used as the tunnel endpoint on the client for a virtual alsa device. you
shouldnt configure *anything* for pulse on the server. ldm will
configure everything you need during login. are both users in the audio
group so they can

log in (using

Thank you very much for your bug report.
Could you check if the sound properties in the user enviroment (KDE or
Gnome) are properly configured?
In Gnome, go to System/Preferences/Sounds and check if the settings are
the same for the working user and the others.
