Public bug reported: Since resolution of https://launchpad.net/bugs/66020 on 2006-10-14 and the latest updates installed 2006-10-18 c. 1700 UTC, resume is broken again.
On resume the screen, the screen flashes briefly, displays a _ cursor, and the machine never recovers further. There is nothing in kern.log or syslog indicating what went wrong. In this state, it is possible to C-A-F{2,6} to virtual terminal which show the login prompt. It is not possible to type anything. Once you reach C-A-F7, it's dead to any further key input other than Alt-Sysreq S-U-B (which shuts down vice reboots), and the FS comes back dirty. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Edgy: Resume broken (again) on HP 6220 https://launchpad.net/bugs/66788 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
