Hrotkó, note that the fix on Ghostscript is not a simple patch, but the
result of many changes, so that a complete replacement of Ghostscript in
Lucid would be necessary. Such high-impact changes are usually not done
in stable release4s. Would could be done would be a backport of the
Ghostscript
Can you try out whether the problem goes away on Oneiric? Boot a live CD
of Alpha 3 and do all updates. Then install the printer driver which you
are using (Canon) and try to print the job. Does it work? Or does
Ghostscript still crash?
