x264_0.106.1741-3 in Natty isn't really build with lavf or ffms because
libswscale-dev isn't in Build-Dep, which is required to enable lavf and
ffms support.

x264 is now built against ffms2, which is a small C++ wrapper around
libavformat. the x264 frontend prefers this input frontend over using
libavformat directly, because it works around certain issues in avformat
and does additionally indexing which greatly helps seeking.
