Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu 10.10. I did not try on any other version.
I have tried setting the default terminal to (u)Rxvt both using the command $ update-alternatives --config x-terminal-emulator and using Sytem->Preferences->Preferred appiications. My custom application launchers are still opened in gnome-terminal, even though I changed the default terminal. I have tried to log out and in again, and also to create new application launchers. By "custom application launchers", I mean some icons on the top panel that I created using right click, add to panel, custom application launcher, then select Application in Terminal. If I run "x-terminal-emulator" (using e.g. F2), the (correct) terminal I chose is started.
