You made this bug report in 2010 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?

Seems like the problem was in IMAP server which wasn't answering with
BODY reply when thunderbird was requesting HEADER and BODY in one
request.

Attaching backtrace. Cannot find anything interesting there, other than
the fact that all threads are in various wait states, which is exactly
what happens: thunderbird is just waiting for some event that never
happens.

Ok, what else can I supply to track the problem?
According to wireshark: nothing is sent to IMAP server at this time.
Thunderbird just waits for something but does not attempt to d/l the message
body.
