Public bug reported: Binary package hint: screen-resolution-extra
The scripts in /usr/share/screen-resolution-extra/ import gtk, but the python-gtk2 package is not installed by default on kubuntu. This should be added as a dependency to this package. The following error is from trying to save xorg.conf from nvidia- settings when python-gtk2 is missing: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/screen-resolution-extra/nvidia-polkit.py", line 20, in <module> import gtk, gobject, sys, dbus, logging, os, re ImportError: No module named gtk After installing python-gtk2, everything is fine.
