Public bug reported: I have sound but only seemingly on two speakers.
I have a Phillips 5.1 Surround system which worked fine on 10.04. On 10.10, if I configure the Sound Preferences for 5.1 + Stereo Mic the Front Left and Right sound emanates from the sub woofer only. Front Centre and Rear Right make no sound, and the sub-woofer comes out of the woofer. If I configure for 7.1 + Stereo in, the Front left & right again sound from the woofer, front centre seems to work properly. Rear left and the sub woofer both come from the woofer and rear right is silent. With Analogue Stereo, I get sound from the centre speaker (when clicking the left speaker test) and from the woofer when clicking on the right speaker. Skype audio is also totally broken. It was fine in 10.04 but now I hear no noise at all from skype.
