[Natty] apt_0.8.8ubuntu3 seriously slows down
I'll confirm this.
When I enter text in the quick search field it takes forever to scroll
to the appropriate location.
With an empty search field scrolling works fine.

Yeah, apt version 0.8.8ubuntu3. Come to think of it, scrolling in
synaptic is pretty slow. On my Core 2 Duo, it seems to only update the
list about 2-3 times per second while scrolling, and it's hitting the
CPU hard to do that.
