Public bug reported: The content of files copied from an SD card using the internal card reader are corrupt. There are no error messages in /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages. dmesg output from the point the card is inserted until it is ejected also looks fine:

The difference is that at that time my card reader worked fine. This might be a regression since installing 10.10, but I'm not sure exactly when the internal card reader stopped working.
