It seems to be related to some script crashing in the background. A few
seconds after the video stalling in full screen, if you alt+tab you can
see a "A script has stopped" dialog from Firefox.

Sorry, the package flashplugin-installer worked one time but I have
still the problem (notably with youtube)
To reboot my computer, I have to use the Magic SysRq Keys (see links
[1], [2] and [3]) : Alt + Syst + S --> E --> I --> U --> B. I tried to
use the TTYs with Ctrl + Alt + F1 (and others), b
I've this problem too. I'm using a Nvidia graphic card with the
proprietary drivers. More details in the attachment.
I remove the package adobe-flashplugin and install apt://flashplugin-
installer instead and the problem is solved.

header, that was pretty annoying.
