Im also leaning toward a GTK bug not so much firefox. can you please try using
all different kinds of themes to reproduce this and lets see what happens. (if

Same here with Feisty. Firefox hangs when changing themes. That does not
happen with upstream Firefox which can be donwloaded on mozilla website.

Actually, Alexander, this appears to still be an issue in Hardy with
Firefox 3.0b5.

If you are still seeing this bug either wait until RC1 hits archives for Hardy
as it might be in that release or try with a new profile and see if you can
reproduce this with a new profile without extensions.

I just tried this with a fresh profile and didn't get this to reproduce.
I'll have to poke around more to see if this was as a result of the
profile not being migrated from 2.* (as my primary one was), not having
extensions, etc.

This is confirmed upstream and a patch is underway to land in some
future upstream release. Thus, state "In Progress".
You need not to send further info, until we ask you to verify that this
bug is fixed.
