I found it right away. The issue was a comment added to a line in /etc/profile.
The " //This " had been read as a variable instead of being ignored, as it had
been for months before that. The code had been installed to force root log-out
after 10 minutes, and as that was do
I doubt I can get it to happen in Feisty. I cannot log into a normal
session, but only in failsafe gnome. - apparently there is a problem
with one of my start-up scripts.
