Public bug reported: Macbooks have a single audio port that can function as a headphone or microphone port depending on user setting. This can be controlled in Mac OS X's sound preferences.
http://www.zacharytamas.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sound-pref-1.jpg Currently, Ubuntu only seems to be able to use the port as output, and there is no place I can see to change this. Neither gnome-volume-control and alsamixer seem to be able to control this feature. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- need support for combo audio port on macbooks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680002 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
