Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

I use Xubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit on mini netbook laptop Asus eeepc 701 (7
inch screen).

Everything worked out of box after installing of LTS, till recently (I
think yesterday or day before) when I did update LTS install using
regular update manager.

After that sound just stopped working and since I was in the middle of nowhere
with my girlfriend, we could not hear any sound out of .flv video from youtube,
that she really likes and wanted to show me.
(mp3s stopped playing eather and only one main slide is present n volume
manager, but with NO SOUND)

I tried then uninstall and reinstall pulseaudio and sound did not come
back even after that.

Since sound worked before update of my LTS install, I suppose it is some
screwup with update.
Please help me regain sound back and I just hope that this kind of Update LTS
embarrassments for Ubuntu (and i witnessed plenty of them in previous LTS 8.04,
too) should be avoided with SOME degree of testing.
I suppose I will also have problems if I payed for support for Ubuntu, that I
also use on desktop, so I am very interested how fast this bug report will work
out.. and I would be able to use sound on my eeepc again..
