This bug seems to have resurrected upgrading to 13.04... anyone else
confirming? In my case it seems that unplugging and plugging in the
cable works, but not always.

I see the same problem. Workaround is:
sudo rmmod atl1c
sudo modprobe atl1c
This will reestablish the connection on the wired interface.

de-rede-atheros.html this morning. Until now, 4h after, my lan card is
working fine.
I didnt reboot my machine to teste, I will post the result later...

I did remove the atl1c module and reload it, but no positive result...
after did that, the eth0 interface dont came back.
# ifconfig -a
eth1
I report the same problem, with kernel ubuntu 2.6.35-24, with 2.6.35-23
everything work correct.
The hw is the same above (asus 1215n, with AR8152 NIC ethernet port.
The behaviour for me is the following:
- Start to work (dhcp transation ok)
- After 2/3 minutes everything stop working.

I considered that.
In my case, it loads, it just doesn't work for very long, and I can't
compile the latest driver source from Atheros.
I'm going to try out rmmod and modprobe to reload the module and see if
that fixes it, indicating that the driver might be getting stuck in a
way that can be fix
Maybe this bug is related (or duplicated) with bug #665424 (ubuntu-10.10
-desktop-amd64 loads atl1c kernel module only with liveCD, not with
installed kernel)
