I experience this on daily-live-20070111.1 when I boot from a slow USB-
stick on a slow laptop, and on a fast laptop when I try using qemu.
Could be a time-out issue.

I am using the x386 distribution of Edgy and have this problem. This was
reported as a duplicate report from bug #68284. I am submitting a copy
of my XORG log.

Thanks for your bug. What version of edgy do you use? Is that a slow
box? Activation of org.gnome.SettingsDaemon timed out seems to
indicate a dbus timeout

This bug appears to be fixed in Edgy. Tested on Edgy AMD64 daily of
20061025 in the evening (EST).
