Which HP printers report ink levels in system-config-printer? With which
driver? With which connection type? With HPLIP?
Can you attach the PPD files of all your printers (from /etc/cups/ppd/)?
Please attach the files one by one, do not put them together in one
archive and do not compress them.
Can you also follow the instructions in the CUPS error_log section of
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems, but instead of
sending a print job, let system-config-printer request the ink levels.
For that start system-config-printer, right-click your printer's icon,
choose Properties
