When I boot my laptop in my docking station, I can't suspend with the

The laptop itself doesn't have any serial connector, but the docking station 
does.

Even after removing the laptop from the docking station, I can't suspend.
It worked on previous versions.

Note that this is 2.6.37-2-generic, not the maverick stable kernel.
