It depends on the usb hub model. I can't reproduce the bug with an other one (witch is usb 1.1 instead of 2.0). With the usb 2.0 hub, I can reproduce the bug on Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 live CDs. Notice that if I unplugg and plug in again the hub *after* Ubuntu has started, then the computer can
