Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wesnoth-1.8

When I try to load a saved game file during a story event (i.e., while people
are talking), the game simply crashes.
By design, when text is displayed, no game can be loaded, but while the camera
shifts to the character that will talk next, it is possible – at least it's
possible to get into the menu, but when selecting a file and confirming, the
game crashes, as said.

I'll attach a debug output (created with "--log-debug=all") of a crash,
please tell me if I can provide any more info. The bug is completely
reproducible for me, in any case.
