Ok, I hate "same here" comments myself, but yes, same here. I know that
there's an update available. I don't want to update yet, I don't need a
reminder every ~15 minutes. This would be tolerable once a week or even
once a day, but like this? Not nice. Maybe a checkbox "Do not show this

This bug also affects Kubuntu 11.04. Everyone in my office is getting a
pop up message offering to start the upgrade to oneiric about every
10-15 minutes. This is not only extremely irritating, as the pop-up goes
in front of any other windows, it's so frequent that it's only a matter
of time before
I can confirm this bug in Kubuntu 10.10, getting a pop up message every
15-20 minutes.

No errors. Today I last downloaded successfully all updates and manually
checked for updates without problems. If I look the history, the cache
seems to have stuck on 49 days 17 hours. A max value? :)
Though I no longer see the distribution upgrade of which this report was
all about. But something
ok, when you click on "Check for new updates" on the updater interface does it
end with some kind of error?
Sometimes mirror that is not available anymore causes the refresh cache to fail.

just pass out for 37 days? :)
The problem still exists. I haven't rebooted after the update yet if
that matters.

Ok so this is probably related to the crash I told you about.
It happens that some "broken" mirrors made packagekit-backend-aptcc package
crash while getting the update list so the last time updated value was not
updated.
The package was already fixed and is in maverick/proposed (don't have an ETA
This doesn't seem right, I just updated the list and got the new
upgrades. Closed the KPackageKit, reopened and it still says the 12
days. Correct?

Can you please go to KPackageKit -> History to see when was the last time it
refreshed your cache?
There is a bug that is already fixed (not in updates yet) which was causing a
crash and might be related.
