Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cups

The image was produced using GRAMPS into PDF. I then used pdftops (from
poppler-utils 0.12.4-0ubuntu5.1) to convert it into PS for further
processing, as follows:

pdftops -paper A4 blurred_bug_demo.pdf blurred_bug_demo.pdf.ps

the resulting PS file (attached) prints with the image blurred on my
xerox phaser 6180, with xrx6180dn.ppd (provided by the manufacturer's
site).

The very same file prints fine on a pure Debian stable box with cups
1.3.11-1 on it, with the same PPD.
