I cannot reproduce this anymore because I no longer have the equipment.
The equipment was a usb hub built into my CRT monitor that caused the
problem. I converted to an LCD monitor now and I no longer use a hub and
therefore cannot replicate the problem if I wanted to.

This is still happening in Feisty. I have worked around this issue by
not using the USB hub that came with my monitor. Others may not have
that option.

I am also affected by this bug. It is quit odd as I have a PS2 keyboard,
however my keys too get repeated.
I have noticed that everytime this happens my USB mouse's light goes off
and then back on.

ok this had to do with out IOGEAR KVM switch. Model # GCS632U (

I've removee d it from the system annd plugged in the USB KB
and mouse and they worked without fail.

wo, what a crapy bug report. sorry, I'm a little pissed.
The USSB keyboard does not work,, the USB mouse is flaky,,, this is a
PS2 KB and as you can see, it is also odd, though the USB is still pluged in.
the repettte keys is intermittent.
