[Bug 683440] Re: gnome-panel not started on edubuntu natty alpha 1

2010-12-01 Thread Dmitrijs Ledkovs
I do not have unity installed. And after a recent upgrade my gnome- panels do not start-up. I have automatic login enabled, so I do not see GDM. All I have is chromium browser (which I had on auto-startup) and icons on my desktop. Gnome-launcher doesn't work and Ctrl+Alt+T doesn'† start terminal

Was that using unity or not ? As in, is you hardware supposed to support unity or not ? Apparently Jonathan's tests with Virtualbox (without unity support) worked fine. -- gnome-panel not started on edubuntu natty alpha 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/683440 You received this bug

This was indeed due to lack of unity support in vbox... I saw that unity was still an option in the installer and thought that meant edubuntu would default to the old panel-based desktop. Sorry for the confusion. :) ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid --
