Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plymouth

After performing an upgrade to 11.04 Alpha, the affected system has no
functioning video. The UBUNTU boot graphic displays briefly, but after
that, the video goes blank. The backlight is on, but nothing shows.
Attempting to switch to a PTTY session does not result in video
returning.

I was able to get into the system once after a complete power off,
however I have not been able to get the system to boot properly since.

The affected system is a lenovo S-10 netbook. I will attempt to get a
hardware information dump to attach to this bug, provided that I am able
to get video working.

** Affects: plymouth (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
