i'm sure that libc-bin isn't damaged...infact i reinstalled it again and
running
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
...all works fine. The problem "Configuring libc-bin" appears every time that i
have subprocess error in kpackagekit or muon

Maybe the package is damaged, I just updated libc-bin fine on a Maverick
system. Can you open a terminal and run there
$ sudo apt-get clean
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
and report back if this cures the problem?
