The same hard drives being displayed multiple times also occurs on my
computers. I have three external hard drives formatted in Ext3.
Sometimes they will be displayed twice, which is shown in the attached
picture. If a drive is unmounted, one shortcut will remain and the other
will go away. This
I want to clarify my earlier comments. This only happens *sometimes*
and only when the USB stick is inserted before booting or during the
boot process. If inserted after my laptop has already booted, then the
USB stick is detected and displayed properly as a single usbdisk icon.
I've never seen
I am also experiencing something similar. If I boot my laptop with my
usb stick already inserted, then I sometimes end up with two usbdisk
icons on my desktop. I can eject one of them but not the other one. If
I wait until after it has booted, then things behave properly. I'm
running feisty
Since the bug destroyed the filesystem on the attached drive, I don´t
want to plug it in anymore. I saw another bug reports about this here,
I´ll search and post a link.
