I got a scim- or keyboard crash after installing scim and making en_US
active aslo for scim. The error came when I logged in again after the
installation, a bomb on the keyboard icon in the application bar.
In my case the solution was to log in once with Japanese language. I
logged out and logged in again with English language. Almost too easy
but it worked for me.
