This worked fine last night and I did not make any changes (on purpose anyway).
I tried removing ~.vlc and did not see a crash one time - but then i saw the
crash again when i switched to the second stream. I think it may have to do
with the data coming over the stream.
I am able to play local
I wonder if this is related to the strings not being translated. what if
you launch from console after setting LANG=C for the console?

Both streams play fine with vlc under Gutsy.
