Is there any update on this bug? My system is still unusable and I have no
idea of how to get it back...
Any workaround ideas would be most helpful!

The last kern.log is only one line long, but dates from a while ago.
I have attached all the kern.log files. you will see that kern.log.4 has
real content. The others seem to indicate a problem?

Here they are! But as you can see they are all from a previous boot.
The only file from today is "wtmp"
