Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
When installing to whole hardrive, the swap partition is too small for my 8Gb of ram. As a result the hibernate option isn't available after install. For a laptop install this is a major issue. sudo fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x000b3d28 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 1 13995 112412672 83 Linux /dev/sda2 13995 14594 4805633 5 Extended /dev/sda5 13995 14594 4805632 82 Linux swap / Solari ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: ubiquity (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-23.41-generic 2.6.35.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-23-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Dec 13 19:13:51 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=fr_FR.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: ubiquity ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/689539 Title: Wrong swap partition preventing hibernate -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
