Also occurs in edgy. When trying to build a RPM:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ rpmbuild -v -ta (package).tar.gz
error: Name field must be present in package: (main package)
error: Version field must be present in package: (main package)
error: Release field must be present in package: (main package)
Looks like it's fixed upstream, but here's a patch in the interim.
