Title:
checkinstall does not install wine properly when compiled from git
--
ubuntu-bugs mailing list
ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com
This is my last 2000 or so lines to the install script run after the
command sudo checkinstall, followed by my unsuccessful attempt to run
notepad in wine.
I also tried installing wine the old way, sudo make install, and that
produced the same results. That is, it did not find wine or notepad.
If you get the same result on a manual build, I'd say this is the expected
result, and the bug is likely in wine and not in checkinstall. Please retry
with a known good revision, and report back.
Looks to me like the binaries is installed in /usr/local/bin, and not /usr/bin.
