Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnucash

Version Information:
GnuCash 2.2.9
Ubuntu 10.10
Kernel Linux 2.6.35-24-generic
GNOME 2.32.0
(64-bit)

I have stocks in NSE (National Stock Exchange) India and I do not have
problems pulling quotes for other stocks from Yahoo Finance, by setting
them up in Security Editor.

But when I use a stock symbol that has an ampersand ( & ) in the symbol, it
fails to fetch the quote.
Example security:

Namespace: NSE
Full Name: Mahindra & Mahindra LtD
Symbol/Abbreviation: M&M.NS
Type: NSE
ISIN, CUSIP or other code: INE101A01026
Fraction Traded: 1/1

If we choose 'Get Online Quotes' and Single - Yahoo in the Security
Editor, and later in Price Editor click on [Get Quotes], then it fails
for the stock that contains & in its symbol.

Workaround for problem: Do not use automated quote fetch - enter price
manually. (Not an ideal solution of course).
Probable Cause: The ampersand may need to be escaped with %26 while querying
Yahoo since the URL for the above example in Yahoo is
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=M%26M.NS

Please let me know if you need more information.
