I have Movie player and SMPlayer. When  I try to open files from Places
in the panel the Mplaer or SMplayer trying to open them and in Mplaer I
have to force quit SMplayer says it cannot open (obvious). On removing
these players I am able to open the files. I am using Ubuntu 11.04
(According to . ( This according to. System -> About Ubuntu.) As such I
have downloaded 10.10.
