Hello everyone
I encountered the same problem when installing lubuntu 11.04. I solved
it by erasing all partitions with gparted live cd and installing minimal
install .iso from usb drive.
All my subsequent experiences with lubuntu are axcellent.
Thank you for your work!

I have this problem too, installer failed while the partitioner was going
(thankfully no data was lost -- looks like gparted finished the job). I was
asked to post some files, but I had no idea how to do it.

As far as I know is the partitioner that's being used the gparted

So what you are saying is that I should throw my computer away? That is
just crazy. I had Ubuntulite working fine until I tried installing
Lubuntu which crashed for some reason, so I don't get how my computer
should be no good. I just want to know if I can do the text installation
with the cd I
Oh no, I didn't mean that. If you want text installation you can download
alternative iso or mini iso because we don't have text installation in a live
CD. You can find the instructions here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/DocumentationHelp/MinimalInstall
I checked the disc and it was fine. I can't boot from the WAITEC, I even
tried SBM but it still couldn't load from the WAITEC. Is there another
way to install it? Do I need to download the alternate CD to do a text
based installation? Can't I do it with this disc?

I got failed installations on a 256MB RAM Compaq Evo N600 laptop with
LiveCD, my CD checksum was fine, the prolem was my CD-ROM, it's too old
and it runs slwly, so I couldn't install other lightweight distros
also (and even Windows XP), then I had to install Lubuntu from Ubuntu
MinimalCD. Sure
Sorry Fabio, but I don't understand what I am supposed to do.

I have a Pentium III 550MHz with 256MB of RAM. For other informations I
attached a hardware info file. By the way, I read that I need 256MB of
RAM to have the graphical installation, even though I have enough RAM,
what is the other option and how is it done?
