I wan not referring to the "indicatior applet", but to the appmenu applet (what
used to be called "global menu") where all the menu items of the current window
appear as part

feature (some sort of 'ufw-notify') is on the roadmap
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/Roadmap#Unscheduled%20Wishlist%20Items).
