I'm closing this bug as invalid, as I have managed to horizontally
scroll on my 6930p's touchpad. It's not broken, it's just very, very,
very hard.

I'm using an older HP, 6710b, and i also don't have horizontal
scrolling. It used to work fine in Lucid.

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upst
