Anyway, this is fixed in 1.2.0~pre3+snap20071004-4build2. The insertion
point thinks that the password character is much wider than it actually
is, but that's a separate problem.

Did you ever see anything but blank space in any version of GNUMail -
maybe that is either expected behavior or some odd interaction between
windowing toolkits (it gets asked to do something it doesn't know how
to)
